This web store is being built as a "test platform" to find better ways to build and maintain a web store using open source software with PHP modifications. It will be operated as a working web store, but it is not yet ready to open for business.

This is an experimental project of

1865
In the final days of the War for Southern Independence, the armed forces of the Confederate States of America surrendered to the Union forces. The government of the CSA, however, never formally surrendered - they fled from the advancing armies, carrying with them many of the official documents to be either destroyed or hidden.

Present Day
Those who pursued the dream of a new Southern nation are now gone; that dream, however, will never die. Those of us who understand and cherish those same dreams understand that we have an obligation to uphold the ideals of the Southern Gentleman - the core beliefs from which the Confederate States of America was born. We are, in effect, ambassadors of the Southern spirit, duty-bound to honor and defend the reputation of the Southern Cause and the Southern Gentlemen who made such a valiant effort to build a new nation.

Suppose that we take that one step further and view ourselves as ambassadors for the Confederate States of America, in the same manner that The Bible tells us to be "ambassadors for Christ" (II Cor. 5:20). We are not, of course, ambassadors in the legal/political sense, but as a moral obligation. The official residence and office of an ambassador is an embassy. For that reason, we think of everything we sell here as

Supplies for the Confederate Embassy
